This Safe for Children live online course is ideal for school leaders, teachers, teacher aides, OSCAR staff, recreation staff, childcare and teacher support staff, and parents/caregivers.

Our introduction training programme is made up of one 60-minute module and meets once online. 

Module 1. Understanding ADHD – an introduction or refresher course 
• What is ADHD? 
• How do we recognise the characteristics of ADHD? 
• How do the effects of ADHD impact our children/tamariki? 
• Medication: what are the pros and cons? 
• How can we tailor our environment to help prevent frustration and build-up?

Interactive.  This course is interactive and engages participants. You will be able to ask questions and they will get answered while you are watching.   

Qualification.  To gain your relevant certificate of training you will be invited to complete 4 or 5 multi choice questions.
