How to manage email alerts
Email alerts keep you up to date with the latest articles, notices and vacancies on the Education Gazette |Tukutuku Kōrero.
Set up an email alert
You need to set up a separate alert for each type of content – articles, vacancies, notices – that you want to get. You can set up as many alerts as you wish:
Choose topics, frequency and format
You can specify what sorts of topics you want to receive alerts about. Use the content filters available for each type of alert to make sure you get only the information of most interest to you.
These filters combine together, so you’ll receive fewer and more specific notifications if you select several filters. If you want to receive a broader range of information within an alert, select fewer filters.
You can also specify how frequently you want to receive each alert – as soon as new items are listed, daily, weekly, or monthly.
You can ask to receive alerts as HTML (pictures and text) or as text only. There’s also an option to say you don’t mind what format you receive alerts in. In that case, you’ll generally receive them as HTML (choosing this option helps us understand what’s important to subscribers overall).
Add our email address to your safe sender list
To make sure you get our emails, add this address to your safe senders list: email@example.com
Unsubscribe from alerts
You can unsubscribe from an alert at any time through the unsubscribe link within any of the emails for that type of alert.
Once you click on this link, you’ll be taken to a page confirming that you’ll no longer receive these alerts.
Changing an alert
You cannot amend your chosen criteria for an existing alert. Instead, you’ll need to:
- unsubscribe (via the unsubscribe link in the relevant type of email alert)
- create a new alert via the options on the relevant alert page (as above).
