Due to high demand - we are repeating this workshop.  In this workshop we will explore why it is vital to provide responsive and nurturing experiences for infants and toddlers.  Information from the fields of both education and neuroscience will be shared before we move on to the practical aspect of the workshop. Translating the theory into our practice we will identify and engage in experiences and environments that are responsive, nurturing and educational for infants and toddlers.

Due to a high level of demand we are offering this workshop again on 1 May 2024.

This workshop is for teachers working with tamariki under the age of 3 years and for those interested in extending their knowledge of this age group.

This workshop will further knowledge of:

  • neuroscience in relation to the developing brain and, the physical and emotional environment of infants and toddlers,
  • infant and toddlers communication and responses,
    the relationship between brain development and play, and
  • the role of the adult in supporting infants and toddlers learning and development.
