The Teacher Education Refresh Programme
Applications now open for TER4: 19 June 2024–06 September 2024
Provider of the Teacher Education Refresh (TER) Programme for the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand
Course fees for this programme will be fully funded by the Ministry of Education
Course structure:
- Three face-to-face workshops: 19, 20, 21 June 2024, 9am-4.30pm
- 4-week practicum in a school: 05 August–30 August 2024
- Online end of programme meeting: 6 September, 2024
- Applications for TER4 close: 29 May 2024
TER programmes bring teachers up to date with their knowledge and experience of current educational practices.
This course is aimed at primary, secondary and Māori-medium trained teachers who have graduated from an initial teacher education programme but have not achieved a full practising certificate within five years of qualifying, are returning to a teaching career after a lengthy period away from the classroom, or have trained overseas.
