The New Zealand Association of Mathematics Teachers (NZAMT)/Te Rōpū Kaiako Pāngarau o Aotearoa is pleased to call for applications for this award.
The awards are made in recognition of an individual’s outstanding contribution to the classroom teaching of mathematics. The general (but not exclusive) criteria for selection are:
A) an effective sequence or resource for teaching mathematics or statistics in primary or secondary school classes;
B) a device for teaching some aspects of mathematics or statistics;
C) a television, video, audio-visual or other communication programme on or for teaching mathematics or statistics;
D) a paper proposing or examining a method of teaching mathematics or statistics.

Due to Easter, school holidays, ANZAC Day and the transfer to our new website, we are extending the closing date for our annual competition from May 15 to May 31st (midnight Aotearoa New Zealand time).
Recycling Week (October 21-27) is Aotearoa New Zealand's largest national annual campaign for education on recycling and waste minimisation. The week promotes education and awareness of better recycling habits and ways of contributing to a waste-free future.
Participation is FREE, and self-directed - while we provide ideas, inspiration and information (including access to webinars, quizzes and prizes), it's up to you to decide what activities to do. The updated Educator's Playbook makes participation easy!
