The 2024 Science Roadshow is refreshed with new exhibits, shows and classroom ready resources.
The Science Roadshow strongly supports the Nature of Science strand and the Five Foundational Science Capabilities and is an exciting and entertaining learning programme of two live demonstrations and 55-60 hands-on exhibits that broaden students' knowledge of the STEM subjects.
The 70 minute programme includes:

The complimentary resource book contains many useful activities, both pre and post visit, as well as a complete unit plan on Sustainable Energy. This resource has been developed to enhance student learning outcomes, allowing teachers to better plan and prepare students for their visit and subsequent follow up tasks.

Recycling Week (October 21-27) is Aotearoa New Zealand's largest national annual campaign for education on recycling and waste minimisation. The week promotes education and awareness of better recycling habits and ways of contributing to a waste-free future.
Participation is FREE, and self-directed - while we provide ideas, inspiration and information (including access to webinars, quizzes and prizes), it's up to you to decide what activities to do. The updated Educator's Playbook makes participation easy!

Accelerated Universal Wellbeing Evaluation Tool (UWET) Accreditation PD Programme for Leaders of Wellbeing, SCENCOs, Counsellors, Psychologists, Social Workers, RTLBs & Teachers
The first offer of this programme in New Zealand will commence on the 30th April 2024. The programme is research-based and comprehensively prepares UWET Facilitators to administer and report outcomes and take appropriate actions.
UWET emerged from a 15 year wellbeing research programme which included two national Research Awards and is underpinned by the Universal Wellbeing Model. UWET can swiftly provide information about the status of the 70 variables that influence Universal Wellbeing and associated risks.
