We are still on the hunt for an outstanding Learning Area Leader of maths and stats to join us at our awesome school in Greymouth. We offer a great school culture, small class sizes, and supportive and innovative middle and senior leadership teams to help drive quality teaching and learning at JPII. Our students are outstanding and have a thirst for  knowledge and achievement.

Our new LAL will be well-supported with middle leadership training and PLD to bring maths to life for our learners. You will enjoy the gift of small class sizes, supportive and skilled colleagues, fantastic students, and a beautiful place to live on the West Coast.

We want someone who is highly relational, a great communicator, student focused, and innovative in their approach to engaging all students in maths. You will be leading curriculum and NCEA changes as they emerge, and supporting all learners to achieve the numeracy co-requisite.

We are a small, state-integrated Catholic school for Y9–13 students, providing quality education and pastoral care. Experience with PB4L and restorative practices would be an advantage. The appointee will be required to accept, recognise and preserve the special character of the school.

Applicants must be NZ registered and fully conversant with the NZ Curriculum
