Te Ara is an educational centre for secondary aged students that aims to support them to overcome their learning and/or behavioural barriers and facilitate their return to mainstream schooling, providing them with life skills and tools to help them into further education and potential career paths.

Same education, different path. With 4 staff and approximately 20 students, we are focused on meeting the individual needs of secondary aged students. Te Ara aims to provide a more focused and supportive learning environment and equip students with the confidence and skills to move forward on their path of learning.

We are seeking a teacher to join our kura. We are looking for a teacher who is comfortable working across the curriculum with strength in teaching and developing maths programmes, an interest in sports and enjoys building learning relationships with students and empowering them to enjoy their learning.
