Learning hub teacher – SENCO (special education needs coordinator)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and motivated teacher for our Learning Hub.

This role involves leading a team of teaching assistants to create and deliver inclusive, innovative programmes of learning for our diverse range of students with special learning needs.

Key responsibilities include working collaboratively with students, teachers, teaching assistants, whānau, and external agencies. 

This position comes with 1 salary unit with 6 non contacts per week as per PPTA collective.

Requirements:

• Commitment to inclusive education and innovative teaching practices
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to engage with the school community and external agencies
• Qualified New Zealand teacher with preferred relevant experience in special education.
