In this webinar S.P.L.I.C.E.S. will be identified to the audience through a kaupapa Māori lens utilising a pōwhiri process. From the gathering at the waharoa, onto the marae atea, into the wharenui and through to the wharekai.

This live webinar is suitable for all education sectors and communities that identify te reo Māori through this process including teachers and administration staff.

This live webinar seeks to:

  • Understand how a pōwhiri process can identify S.P.L.I.C.E.S. through a kaupapa Māori lens.
  • Demonstrate how a pōwhiri process can apply S.P.L.I.C.E.S. to the early childhood, primary, secondary, and tertiary environment.
  • Identify te reo Māori through the process.
