The health and safety of all students is a priority.
The SeizureSmart Schools online learning program has been developed to support students, teachers, and schools and provide them with the knowledge and practical strategies to support students who live with epilepsy in an educational setting
This online learning, consisting of 13 modules, is an introduction to Understanding Epilepsy for Educators, enabling all teachers to develop the knowledge required to provide appropriate support to students who live with epilepsy.
The course can be completed online at your own pace, it takes approx.40 minutes and a personalized certificate is available for download upon completion. There are also additional classroom resources available for download.
The cost is $40 pp and offers discounted rates for 6 or more registrations.
Every school that signs up to do the training goes into the draw to win a $500 voucher from Modern Teaching Aides.
There is no limit on the number of teachers/staff registrations.
Free training is available to teachers in the Eastern Bay of Plenty and Papatoetoe.
