Enriching Social Studies through literacy and numeracy PLD for leaders of learning in Y1-8.
Reading, writing and maths can be done exceptionally well through the social sciences DO practices - come learn more with us!
A two day professional learning course which will illustrate how to do more than just the basics brilliantly. Come along to explore how to meet the requirement of one hour reading, writing and maths per day in ways that enrich learning in social studies. Opportunities for learning in Science, Environmental Education and the Arts will also be woven throughout the course.
Participants will spend time:
- exploring progression with the Do progress outcomes
- developing a sequence of learning across the phases with explicit focus on progression
- weaving together knowledge outcomes from other learning areas
Registrations are now open. Course fee of $160 per person includes catering while at the course both days. Does not include dinner that night, accommodation or transport costs.
