Kindergarten head teacher (1FTE)

We are seeking a vibrant, motivated, creative, and passionate head teacher to join our amazing team at Mahurangi Kindergarten. The Kindergarten licensed for 40 tamariki and as head teacher you will be working with a team that is made up of 4 fully qualified kaiako, a part time administrator and a part time support person.

As part of the Northern Auckland Kindergarten Association t/a Kaitiaki Kindergartens, you will be part of a network of 14 centres, and all Kaitiaki Kindergartens teachers are employed with the terms and conditions as laid out in the Kindergarten Teachers Collective Agreement (KTCA).

Your exceptional leadership qualities will foster a positive learning environment that is committed to education excellence, engages with local community, and empowers learners, their whānau, and kaiako to actively work together to achieve their dreams and aspirations.

As a leader you will:

• Be able to demonstrate dynamic and inspiring leadership.
• Have pedagogical leadership and knowledge of Te Whāriki, Te Whatu Pokeka, Te Hurihanganui, NELPs, Te Ara Poutama.
• Be fully committed to Te Ao Māori, the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and promote a bicultural learning environment.
• Have excellent communication skills and desire to actively work with all members of the wider kindergarten community and association.
• Be a collaborative and positive team player, fostering shared vision and goals.

Applicants must hold a recognised ECE teaching qualification; a current practising certificate and a current First Aid certificate; be a NZ Citizen or hold a current NZ work visa.
