Junior Junction St Jude is seeking a passionate and dedicated head teacher to join and lead our under 2’s team. As Head teacher, you will assume a leadership role with a team of teachers where  you will serve as a role model for best practice, embodying our philosophy of nurturing tamariki.

You will have:

• Full or provisional registration with a current practicing certificate
• Experience in leading a team and working alongside other leaders collaboratively
• Energy and a nurturing personality
• High level of initiative and leadership qualities
• Prior experience working with young children
• Experience in writing learning profiles and the ability to use online software
• Flexibility to work within our open hours of 7am–6pm.

The following skills, knowledge and capabilities are ideally required for this role:

• Lead and inspire a team of educators to uphold the highest standards of early childhood education.
• Time management and organisational skills
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child's voice is heard and respected.
• Collaborate with parents, family/whānau and the community to create a supportive and enriching educational experience.
• Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to the growth and development of the centre.
