English Language Learning (ELL) Teacher

We are looking for a specialist English language learner (ELL) teacher who is passionate about working with Y7–10 students. RJHS provides a unique, challenging and enjoyable environment to teach in. We place significant emphasis on working and learning collaboratively and believe as a leadership team we offer our staff the opportunity to contribute actively to the direction of the school and importantly to realise their own potential as an educator.

The part-time teacher (0.76) will work in collaboration with our ELL teacher-in-charge, specialist curriculum leader English and junior high school teachers to support our English language learners. They would identify current and future students requiring ELL support and help deliver an ELL support programme. Our ELL teacher will also be part of one of our Hapū.

While ELL training or qualifications are an advantage they are not a requirement for this position. Applicants must be open to engaging in quality professional learning specific to educating ELL students once successfully appointed to the role.
