We are a Y1–6 five-teacher school located 10 minutes from the rural township of Wairoa. The area is home to the magnificent Mahia Peninsula, the beautiful Lake Waikaremoana with the renowned Wairoa River running through the township, and caters for tramping, hunting, surfing, fishing and plenty of whitebait!
We love educators who have passion, warmth, pursue excellence and have positive regard for all. Skills in connecting with our amazing community, kaiako and tamariki are essential. Our team is searching for a kaiako with in-depth curriculum knowledge and outstanding teaching practice who is totally focused on children's learning and achievement. The teacher we are looking for will be a dynamic person who inquire into their own practice, use evidence effectively to promote student learning and progress, be a total team player and have a great sense of humour! We have a strong focus on Te Ao Maori and our school culture has Te Ara Whakamana as the foundation. If this sounds like you and you would like to join our vibrant collaborative team, please apply.
We would be happy to look at a job sharing situation for the right teacher.
Please state what you can offer our school.
School visits or a chat with Megan (Principal) are encouraged if possible.
