Karaka School Auckland

Y3–4 kaiako

We are looking for someone to join our Karaka School whānau from the start of term 3, 2024 (one of our amazing Y3–4 kaiako will be heading off on maternity leave). Although this is a 12 month fixed term position, we would also consider a 6 month contract for terms 3 and 4 for the right person.

Karaka is a beautiful country school with a roll size of approximately 250 learners. We are handy to the motorway, situated not far from Papakura on one side and Pukekohe on the other. We also have an amazing staff who work well as a team and look after each other. 

We are seeking an enthusiastic kaiako who is open to learning and will enjoy working collaboratively. They will need to embrace our whakatauki 'ka whangaia, ka tupu, ka puawai' (that which is nurtured, grows and blossoms).

The successful applicant will have current NZ Curriculum and pedagogical knowledge and be digitally capable. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!!!
