One of our fabulous Y4–6 kaiako will be going on maternity leave early in term 3, and we are looking for a collaborative, enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher to join our team. Our current Y4–6 release teacher will take over the whānau group of the kaiako leaving, and we are now seeking a new release teacher within the hub. We are in the fortunate position of being able to start this position earlier than required, to allow us to have some additional release time for teachers before the maternity position begins.
We are an innovative school focused on developing the structures, processes and practices required for the deep personalisation of learning. We work in collaborative, team teaching hubs with modern and well equipped learning spaces. Our generous and very supportive school board ensures teachers and staff have what they need to ensure we can meet the needs of all ākonga.
There are six whānau groups in our Y4–6 hub, and the successful candidate will join the team and provide release across the groups. You will be a full teaching member of the team, and will join a very collaborative, supportive and positive team of teachers. We are looking for a positive, caring and highly effective kaiako who consistently puts learners at the centre of all decision making to join our team.
The proposed start date for this role is May 20, although this date is open to negotiation with the successful candidate. The role will continue until the end of the year. The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the Primary Teachers' Collective Agreement.
