We are seeking to appoint a talented and motivated teacher of humanities to teach across our Middle and Senior schools. This is a permanent appointment commencing in July. The ability to teach geography, classical studies and/or ancient history would be advantageous.

Scots College offers dual pathway options for its senior students, delivering both NCEA and the IB Diploma.  We are also authorised to deliver the Middle Years and the Primary Years Programmes. Experience teaching the MYP and/or Diploma Programme would be advantageous.

Applicants should have:

  • Excellent teaching experience in their specialist subject area, with the ability to teach across a range of year levels
  • Interdisciplinary teaching experience would be advantageous
  • The ability to promote learning in a blended learning environment
  • A willingness to move with the times and work to meet our future focused learning goals
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for education
  • The ability to manage and motivate young people
  • A commitment to our special character and co-curricular programmes.
