Teaching at an intermediate school can be challenging, but at the same time it can be hugely rewarding. This is the time of huge changes in the development of our tamariki. As kaiako our biggest gift to them is to believe in themselves. They need adults to role model integrity, passion, resilience and positive attitudes.
The ideal candidate will be somebody who has a balanced lifestyle, prepared to give their best and strive for excellence while accepting that working with young ones means that everything does not always work according to the plan. They will be enthusiastically involved in the kura, inside as well as outside the classroom. They will bring with them a passion for curriculum and a knowledge of behaviour management. And lastly they will bring a sense of humour and a willingness to work collaboratively.
We look forward to receiving your application. School visits are welcomed – and encouraged.
Proof of qualifications will be requested for shortlisted applicants.
Applicants must be NZ registered and hold a current Practicing Certificate.
