Hard materials teacher / potential of HoD

St Peter’s College is a state-integrated Catholic, multicultural, Y7–13 coeducational college located in Palmerston North.

St Peter’s College is looking to employ a teacher with strengths in combination of hard materials, engineering, and product design. The ideal applicant will be a skilled all rounder, within the hard materials, building and construction, and mechanical engineering department.

Possibility of a HoD position for an experienced applicant. The HoD role would have an allowance of 1 management unit and 1 middle management allowance. This allowance only applies to the HoD role not the teaching position. The HoD will support all staff in the technology department and ensure the department runs smoothly.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable teaching all curriculum levels. Our college has a project-based learning focus in the junior school. We believe in empowering our students to explore contexts that inspire them and consider related careers and tertiary pathways beyond our gates.

• Can model best practice health and safety to ākonga and staff at all times
