We are searching for an exceptional kaiako to step into the role of assistant manager at House of Wonder Gisborne! Collaborating closely with the centre manager, you will provide invaluable support, demonstrating a strong presence on the floor, offering mentorship, coaching, and role modelling outstanding teaching practices to the team.

This position requires the ability to forge positive community connections, assist in compliance management, and contribute to sustaining and growing our enrolment levels will be an integral part of this role.

House of Wonder by Busy Bees is a unique, innovative space. Designed for children to explore and learn through their senses. The mauri (life force) of our centre supports rich language and gives children time and space to be curious, to enquire and make discoveries.

The following skills, knowledge and capabilities are ideally required for this role:

  • Proven recent success in a leadership role with the ability to demonstrate an inclusive and collaborative leadership style
  • Outstanding time management and organisational skills
  • Superb communication skills
  • Initiative, desire and passion for quality practice standards and commitment to the principles of Te Whāriki
  • Innovative, resilient, committed, passionate and enthusiastic!
  • An ECE Level 7 qualification with a current practising certificate.
