Economics and social sciences teacher

Whitby Collegiate is a small but thriving and growing independent school. We are looking for a part-time economics and social sciences teacher to teach primarily in the senior school. Knowledge of the NZ Curriculum for NCEA Level 1 and Level 2 Economics is essential.

We have engaged learners in a positive and supportive environment and a proven track record of academic success whilst focusing on the holistic well being of the students. 

Depending on the skills and other teaching subjects of the successful applicant there may be the opportunity for this position to be full time. 

The terms and conditions, including the base salary, for this position is set by the Proprietors Board and the collective agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $62,279 (Step 3) to $104,177 (Step 11), depending on the applicants qualifications and experience. Individual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
