Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and implement a culturally responsive and engaging classroom program that aligns with the English-medium/Te ao Māori approach and the New Zealand Curriculum.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
    • Work towards achieving full New Zealand Teacher Registration, if not already attained, through the provisionally registered teacher (PRT) process.
    • Collaborate with colleagues and members of the wider community to enhance the educational experiences and outcomes for students.
    • Participate actively in staff meetings, professional learning communities, and school-wide initiatives.
    • Use a variety of assessment tools and strategies to monitor student progress, identify areas for growth, and provide targeted support.
    • Provide constructive feedback to students and their whānau to support ongoing learning and development.
    • Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice, deepen cultural competence, and meet the evolving needs of our diverse student population.
    • Take ownership of professional growth and actively seek out opportunities for learning and reflection.
    • Engage in the Professional Growth Cycle.
