Deputy Principal

Due to a promotion to Principal, an exciting opportunity to join the Senior Leadership Team at Whangaparaoa College has become available.

We seek an experienced and competent senior leader who has skilfully developed high-performing teams and led change. The successful candidate will have the knowledge, skills, and experience to lead our thriving International team, and our newly established, but highly successful, He Kupenga Rua a Tāne immersion unit, in addition to leading school-wide change.

Supported by an enthusiastic Principal and Board, the opportunity for leadership development will also be available. You will have a passion for learners achieving their potential, educationally and holistically, and must have proven leadership experience in and knowledge of all aspects of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Te Marautanga o Aotearoa.

You will join a high functioning and collegial Senior Leadership Team that implements the school's strategic vision, focusing on Hauora, Learner Pathways, and Innovation and Technology.  The successful candidate will be the right fit for our Senior Leadership Team and their unique qualities will enrich our school and team culture.

Preferred skills or experiences:

• Lead school wide change
• as sound knowledge or leadership of property developments
• Previous SLT experience
• Matauranga Māori and Te Tiriti knowledge.
