Employment Type: Full-time (25–37.5 hrs a week) 5 days 

Are you passionate about early childhood education and committed to making a positive impact on young learners? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Childhood Education (ECE) kaiako to join our team at Bishopdale Community Preschool.

About Us:

Bishopdale Community Preschool [BCP] is a community based, not-for-profit, early childhood education centre dedicated to nurturing young minds and providing a stimulating learning environment. We offer comprehensive early childhood education programs that focus on holistic development and preparing children for future success.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement developmentally-appropriate activities and lessons to meet the individual needs of each tamaiti.
• Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development for tamariki.
• Collaborate with colleagues and whānau to ensure the best outcomes for tamariki.
• Monitor and assess the progress of tamariki and communicate effectively with mātua/whānau.

Requirements:

• Level 7 ECE qualification or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• A Tūturu | Full Practising Certificate
• Full First aid training (or willing to have this completed before starting)
• Relevant teaching experience in an ECE setting is required.
• Understanding, knowledge and experience of Te Whāriki: He whāriki mātauranga mō ngā mokopuna o Aotearoa Early childhood curriculum is essential.  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, creativity, humour and a genuine passion for working with young tamariki.
