We are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner with middle leadership experience to take on the role of Deputy Principal at Westmere School.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who;

• Values Te Ao Māori and knows how to give meaningful effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi in all aspects of school life
• Has experience supporting teachers with collaborative practices
• Has a theoretical and practical understanding of change management
• Has experience leading change with the new curriculum
• Has strong administration skills

The leadership team at Westmere works collaboratively to support teachers in both English medium and Māori medium pathways. 

We are proud to be a school with high expectations of teachers and students. Our students learn in open learning environments that are well-resourced. We have a strong local curriculum and support our teachers to implement this with high-quality professional development, a coaching approach and a well-being programme.
