We seek a dynamic, enthusiastic and flexible practitioner able to teach social sciences and/or science. For social sciences, strengths and familiarity with the new Aotearoa New Zealand history curriculum is preferred. For science, strengths in teaching junior science and the ability to teach at least to Level 1 NCEA Science would be an advantage.

The position may involve teaching in a collaborative and innovative learning environment.
Ōpōtiki College is situated in the Eastern Bay of Plenty with a great climate, beaches and the gateway to many outdoor activities. The college is currently undertaking a rebuild which will see modern learning environments and new facilities. We currently have a role of 317 students, most of whom have whakapapa connections to Te Whakatōhea, the local iwi. We work in a whānau based environment and we have strong relationships with our school community.
