Mathematics teacher responsible for numeracy

Responsible for helping to develop a consistent whole-school approach towards the teaching of numeracy concepts, with the goal of increasing students' understanding, engagement and achievement across a range of subjects. Should be (or be willing to become) an expert in e-asTTle, and the Level One Numeracy co-requisite and in the digital and in the digital administration and reporting for these assessments.

Applicants for positions at Avondale College must be a NZ registered teacher and will endorse the school’s academic priority as well as be expected to participate in the extensive co-curricular life of the school.

The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $61,678 to $99,216 depending on applicants' qualifications and experience. Individuals' actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.

Employment Based Teacher Trainees (EBTT) will be considered for the role. Please state ITE provider.

This position holds one Management Unit (MU).
