About the role: 

BestStart Stokes Valley is seeking a passionate and motivated teacher-in-training to join our established and tight-knit 2 to 5-year-old team. Our focus is using our passion for teaching to provide quality education to the children in our community.  

This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.  

Role requirements: 

  • Enrolment into a Level 7 ECE bachelor or graduate diploma course 
  • Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning 
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE regulations, Te Whāriki and hold compliance in a high regard 
  • A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices.
