Are you reading to join a growing home-based ECE service that is part of a well known charity?

At Bright Futures, we've experienced growth and looking for someone to grow with us.  

You'll work 30 hours per week from our Napier office and support educators across Hawke's Bay. You will report to the team leader. 

You will need to have:

  • An early childhood teaching qualification (minimum Diploma of Teaching) 
  • A current, ideally full, Teaching Council of Aotearoa NZ practising certificate 
  • A current first aid certificate and full driver's licence
  • A sound knowledge of Te Whāriki, home-based ECE regulations, legislation, and internal evaluation and professional growth cycle
  • Knowledge and understanding of professional practice in early childhood education
  • A practical understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Te Ao Māori is also highly desirable. 

You will also have:

  • A passion for, and ideally experience in, home-based early childhood and education
  • Strong communication skills and experience in coaching and supporting adults 
  • A passion for life-long learning and professional development and willingness to share this with others
  • A self-starter with high self-motivation and integrity 
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and be flexible
  • Skills with using software such as Office 365, Discover and Educa or Storypark.
