Wainui Beach School is a beautiful school, across the road from a stunning surf beach, located approximately 6km from the centre of Gisborne. We are a thriving school, within a supportive community, catering for the needs of students from new entrants to Y6. At Wainui Beach School we aspire to “light up learning” for our students and staff through delivering a responsive, localised integrated curriculum, which includes regular use of our amazing beach for a wide range activities, including surfing! 

The new principal…

Will be able to build and sustain positive relationships within and across the entire school community. You will be an effective communicator with well-developed management and administrative skills. You will have proven leadership experience and the ability to work collaboratively with staff to build on the strengths of the school. You will use your strong values and sense of humour to ensure our culture and learning success continues to thrive. You will value a balanced approach to curriculum delivery and will trust your team to be agile in their approach to teaching and learning and you will value the balance between work and life. You will be a visible student-centred and future focused leader who will lead the ongoing implementation of a student centred localised curriculum.
