Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (Te Kura) is New Zealand's largest school with a roll of up to 24,000 ākonga (students) at any point of time. We provide personalised learning programmes from early childhood to NCEA Level 3.
Our ākonga are at the centre of all we do. We are privileged to have the opportunity to support many ākonga on their learning journey including many at risk ākonga.

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi / About this position
We are looking for creative, innovative kaiako (teacher) who’s a subject expert in Y1–10. We have four positions available. Two positions will be based in our Queenstown regional office and two positions can be based in either Christchurch, Dunedin or Invercargill.
Kaiako (teacher) at Te Kura engage with our ākonga (students) online and face-to-face at huinga ako (advisories) and events, and also work onsite with colleagues in our regional offices. Te Kura aims to provide flexible working arrangements, so Kaiako are able to request to work from home for up to 2 days per week.

It is essential that you have a sound knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum and assessment requirements.
You'll be future oriented and understand how the use of technology, together with your enthusiasm, vision and commitment improves education outcomes for all our students, Maori and Pasifika learners in particular.
