Services Academies is a one-year Secondary Transitions programme that is delivered in partnership between schools and New Zealand Defence Force. The programme aims to help students stay engaged in learning while developing valuable life, leadership, and employment skills.
The Ministry is now looking for a school to deliver this programme within their school and is inviting Expressions of Interest from schools with students in years 12 and 13.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of the Services Academy programme. Funding for this popular programme is constrained so opportunities to participate don’t come around often. Participation in the programme allows your school to increase the options available for senior students as they contemplate their future pathways while enabling them to develop valuable job, leadership, and life skills.
For more information about this opportunity please contact service.academy@education.govt.nz
Expressions of Interest must be submitted to service.academy@education.govt.nz by 4 pm Friday 16 August 2024.
More information about this programme can be found at https://youthguarantee.education.govt.nz/initiatives/opportunities-at-school-and-beyond/services-academies/
