We are pleased to announce that due to high demand, an additional cohort for our Contemporary Secondary Teaching Approaches for Aotearoa micro-credential has been secured for 2024.
This 5-point micro-credential course, developed in partnership between Pūtea Whakawhanake Pouako | PPTA Learning and Development Centre and Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington, spans one school term. It includes online self-paced modules, three live online webinars, and a one-day, in-person workshop. Full course registration is funded by the Ministry of Education via the PPTA Learning and Development Centre, which also provides a $500 (including GST) travel grant to assist with workshop-related expenses.
Designed to deepen kaiako's understanding of effective pedagogical approaches, this micro-credential offers the opportunity to teach confidently and inclusively across all levels of secondary schooling.

Establishing Conditions for Autonomy: Fostering Student Agency
Building Mastery: Working Within Students' 'Goldilocks Zone'
