This in-person workshop will draw on the notion ‘leadership is always relational, and relationships are the essence of leadership’ (Giles, 2019). Kaupapa Maori understandings and research will add to the depth of knowledge relating to relational leadership. Participants will have the opportunity to wananga on their own experiences and contribute to a growing understanding of what relational leadership might look like within their own practice.
This event is aimed at all ECE kaiako who are wanting to develop an understanding of leadership from a relational and te ao Māori worldview.
In this PLD event participants will gain knowledge, skills and/or strategies to enable kaikao to:
Understand concepts of relational leadership
Develop knowledge of Māori leadership from a relational perspective
Contribute to a growing understanding of what relational leadership might look like within own practice.
