The Innovation Challenge uses design thinking to offer an authentic project-based learning experience for students in Y7–10. Students research a real-life problem, then design and build a prototype solution and present this to an industry expert. 

With its lesson-by-lesson approach, complete with templates and interactive pdf or photocopiable resources, this ‘Pick Up and Go’ resource has everything you need to run a successful Innovation Challenge with your students.

A slide deck accompanies this resource which can be used to help teach the content.

Recycling Week (October 21-27) is Aotearoa New Zealand's largest national annual campaign for education on recycling and waste minimisation.

Participation is FREE, and self-directed - we provide ideas, inspiration and information (including access to webinars, quizzes and prizes), but it's up to you to decide what to implement. The updated Educator's Playbook makes participation easy!
