We are seeking a passionate kaiako to work in a Y5–6 Akomanga within our Rūmaki whānau, Te Hiaroa at Māngere Bridge School. The successful kaiako will be expected to teach Te Marautanga o Aotearoa.
Te Hiaroa is built of two Level 1 immersion classrooms and one Level 2. We pride ourselves on delivering quality education in te reo Māori to all willing tamariki while incorporating Te Aho Matua within the values of our whānau.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a team that strives to reconnect tauira and whānau to te reo Māori me ōna tikanga while allowing them to shine within a diverse multicultural environment here at Māngere Bridge School.
The successful applicant will have:
Fluency in te reo Māori is an advantage.
Full NZ teacher registration.
Knowledge of Te Marautanga o Aotearoa.
An understanding of our local history.
A willingness to learn and embrace change.
Knowledge of how to teach an integrated curriculum.
This position is available from term 3, 2024.
