Welcome to The Oaks Early Learning Centre.

We are a purpose-built, privately owned Preschool located in the wonderful community of Ashburton.

We have a strong focus on responsive relationships, the natural environment, and empowering children to be active participants within their learning.

To establish a high-quality environment that delivers expectational education and care, we need dedicated professionals working together with our families/whānau to offer children the best start on their learning journey.

We are welcoming applications for passionate registered early childhood teachers, dedicated to the teaching profession and committed to fostering the growth and development of children.

This is a full-time role between the centre operating hours of Monday-Friday 7.30am-5.30pm (30-40hrs per week).

What we need from you:

  • Fully qualified and registered (provisional or full) early childhood teacher.
  • An understanding of Te Whāriki, planning and assessment practices, curriculum implementation and pedagogy.
  • Understand and be committed to implementing the philosophy and core values within our centre.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with children, families/whānau and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills including time management and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Positive and proactive attitude to developing learning for tamariki as well as your own.

What we will offer you:

  • You will receive full support and mentoring from experienced and passionate teachers as you embark on your teaching journey at The Oaks ELC.
  • Excellent teacher/child ratios
  • A competitive remuneration package
  • Ongoing opportunities for professional learning so you can grow as a teacher
  • Fully funded teacher registration and first aid certification
  • Discounted childcare

This is an exciting opportunity for a registered teacher to become part of our team. If you think you have what we are looking for, then we would love to hear from you. Please apply with a CV and cover letter to manager@theoaksearlylearning.co.nz
