Cambridge High School (CHS) is a co-educational school, established in 1883, with a roll of approximately 1,800 students. Cambridge High School serves the interests of the community incredibly well, meeting the varied academic, trades, cultural and sporting needs of our students. An opportunity exists to join our very collegial, collaborative and supportive faculty. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about engaging with our new Level 1 science course, open to new learning, reflective about their practice and take a student-centred approach to their classroom practice. We have some flexibility in our timetable to accommodate the successful candidate and welcome all areas of expertise in teaching Science. The role will start as close to the beginning of term 3 as possible.
The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers’ Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $59,027 to $99,216, depending on applicant’s qualifications and experience. Individuals’ actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
