New entrant Kaiako

We are looking for an innovative and passionate kaiako to join our wonderful kura in a roll growth Position for the remainder of 2024. 

The successful candidate will value relationships, and work collaboratively. We need an enthusiastic teacher who motivates children, fosters curiosity and makes learning fun.

Our kura has a strong sense of community, where people are valued and respected. We have a village approach to supporting the diverse range and needs of our tamariki. Everyone plays a part in our tamariki’s journey at our kura. Our team of highly skilled and dedicated kaimahi help to provide inclusive learning environments that support the language, culture and wellbeing of our tamariki.

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualities and experience in

• Junior School or Early Childhood Experience is preferable.
• Structured Literacy, particularly, the BSLA framework
• Culturally responsive pedagogy and a commitment to Te Tiriti
• Ability to work collaboratively.
• Learning through play
• Highly effective behaviour management skills which enhance the mana of all learners. 

We will negotiate the start date with the successful candidate, with the most likely start date being the end of term 2 or the beginning of term 3.
