We are a U4 state-integrated school with approximately 140 students from Y0 to 8, based in Kaitaia, the beautiful Far North of New Zealand. At Pompallier Catholic School, we have a positive, collaborative and creative school culture. We are dedicated to inspiring and supporting our students, whānau and each other. We are looking for an innovative, enthusiastic and collaborative teacher to join our school at the beginning of term 3 2024. A strong pedagogical knowledge and the ability to teach a localised and connected curriculum is preferred.

Embraces Te Ao Māori
Has strengths in numeracy and literacy
Can help shape and deliver a curriculum that celebrates diversity and the uniqueness of the school
Is committed to quality teaching and teaching as inquiry to constantly evolve as a teacher
Can use digital platforms such as google docs, sites and Class Dojo to share learning with students and whānau
Is innovative and encourages student agency
We would ensure that your strengths and interests would be utilised and there would be plenty of opportunities to learn, create and grow.
A willingness and ability to participate in religious instruction appropriate to the special character of the school is a condition of appointment.
