Are you a RIE Foundations Graduate? 

Or are you interested in the works of Magda Gerber and Emmi Pikler? Are you keen to put this into practice in a centre fully committed to RIE and Magda Gerber's Educaring approach? 

We are looking for a full time teacher who is passionate about working with infants and toddlers. You will have a good understanding of what healthy attachment relationships look like. 

Our commitment to RIE is evident in the daily practice with teachers, the value we place on key caregiving, small group sizes (7 in infant room, 8 in toddler room) and excellent ratios (1:3 for under ones, and 1:4 for 1-2.5 years, and 1:5 for 2:-3 years) and continuity of care for children where possible. What this means are deeper, more meaningful and rewarding relationships between teachers and the tamariki, and teachers and their whanau. Our community truly care for, values and respects our teachers. 

The Learning Centre is a small family owned, well-respected childcare centre located in the heart of Ponsonby. We are dedicated to providing quality child care, within a nurturing environment.
