Westlake Girls High School is a leading secular state girls’ school in New Zealand with more than 2,000 students, situated on Auckland’s North Shore.

We have a vacancy for a qualified teacher to join our vibrant PE department to cover refreshment leave for term 3, 2024.  

We are seeking an innovative and enthusiastic teacher of PE & health to work with the Faculty of PE, health & sport to cover refreshment leave. This person will have a growth mindset, the ability to develop and create responsive assessment practices for students and will be flexible. Our faculty is a dynamic, collaborative, and supportive team in a well-resourced and exciting school and is committed to providing the opportunity for every student to reach their personal excellence.

Contract and remuneration will be in accordance with the Secondary Teachers’ Collective Agreement

Annual remuneration is dependent on service and qualifications, , starting rate of $59027 and top rate of $99216. Hours of work will be full-time as set out in the STCA.

Entry Requirements:

To become a Secondary Teacher you need to have one of the following at Level 7 or above of the NZQF

• A specialist subject degree followed by a one-year Graduate Diploma of Teaching (Secondary) or a Master of Teaching (Secondary).
• A Bachelor of Education (Technology)
• A Bachelor of Teaching conjoint degree (a combination of teaching and specialist subjects).
