The opportunity

A rare opportunity has arisen for a visiting teacher to support educators in the Wellington City region with their day-to-day role of caring for and educating the tiny learners in their care.

You will also be instrumental in the growth of our presence in the region to ensure licensing capacity levels are met. 

About you

If you are our ideal candidate, you will have a background in supporting home-based early childhood education and care, a strong knowledge of current early learning theories and practices and a dedication to applying Te Tiriti o Waitangi, te reo and tikanga Māori in everyday programme delivery. 

In addition to the above, you will also be:

  • An excellent communicator and relationship builder
  • Self-driven and an effective manager of time
  • Competent with related technology, systems and administration tasks.

Please Note:  this position involves a mixture of working from home and travel to educators homes etc. throughout the region.  We are open to both part-time (minimum 20 hours per week) and full-time applicants.
