New entrants teacher

Te Kura o Hato Mere is a vibrant Catholic state integrated school, situated in the heart of Te Waiharakeke (Blenheim), catering to ākonga from New Entrants to Y8. Our Katorika Kura is one which celebrates its rich cultural diversity, promoting caring, confident learners in a rich, inclusive environment securely founded upon our Gospel Values. As a result of continued roll growth we are looking for a fabulous new entrants teacher to join our incredible team.

We are looking for an innovative, creative and culturally responsive teacher with a passion for empowering our youngest learners through a localised curriculum. 'The successful applicant for these positions will accept the condition to support, uphold and be positively involved in the special character of the school.'

Our next kaiako will:

• Give effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi 
• Demonstrate a strong knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum
• Build positive relationships with staff, students, whānau, community, and external agencies
• A knowledge of structured literacy and early years pedagogy would be beneficial.
