We are a vibrant and supportive specialist school based on Auckland’s North Shore. Our base school is in Hauraki, we also have satellite classes in 5 other schools across the Shore. The school supports students with special needs aged between 5–21. Our classes of 8 students are supported by the class teacher, teacher aides, and our therapy team.
We are looking for a teacher who naturally embeds creativity into their daily practice and makes learning fun. As a practitioner you will enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, all focused on supporting learning and development for each of our students.
Due to the geographical nature of our school, a full driving licence is essential.
The successful candidate will be able to:
Develop a love of learning.
Develop a creative approach to delivering the curriculum.
Relate well with students, whānau, staff and other agencies.
Work collaboratively to develop personalised goals and monitor achievement.

The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the relevant collective agreement (Primary Teachers’ Collective Agreement). The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $59,027 to $99,216, depending on the applicant’s qualifications and experience. Individuals' actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
