About the role:  

Whether you are a newly qualified teacher or an experienced educator, if you have a passion for teaching young children, we want to hear from you. This position is based in our preschool working with our 2-year-olds to approximately 3.5-year-olds.

We provide an environment where children are encouraged to be themselves. Here they develop a stronger sense of who they are. They can explore their environment using all their senses. Children are encouraged to take risks, while being supported to achieve the tasks they set out to do.  

This is a fixed term position working 32 hours over four days Monday to Thurs, between 7am to 6pm, ending June 2025.

Role requirements:  

  • B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or primary) and current teacher certification  
  • Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning  
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE regulations, Te Whāriki and hold compliance in a high regard  
  • A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices.
