  • A current, ideally full, Teaching Council of Aotearoa NZ practising certificate
  • A current first aid certificate and full driver's licence
  • A sound knowledge of Te Whāriki, home-based ECE regulations, legislation, and internal evaluation and professional growth cycle
  • Knowledge and understanding of professional practice in early childhood education
  • a practical understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Te Ao Māori is also highly desirable.

You will also have:

  • A passion for, and ideally experience in, home-based early childhood and education
  • Strong communication skills and experience in coaching and supporting adults
  • A passion for life-long learning and professional development and willingness to share this with others
  • A self-starter with high self-motivation and integrity
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and be flexible
