Teacher – Whānau Manaaki Kindergartens

We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic kaiako to join Khandallah Kindergarten. Our kindergarten is licensed for 40 children aged 2 to 5 years old who attend for 6 hours each day.  

This position would suit a kaiako who has a passion for increasing bicultural education, and a commitment to building and maintaining relationships with the team and wider Kindergarten whānau.

As kaiako you will:

• support the kindergarten team in designing and implementing culturally responsive approaches that reflect the local community and our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi,
• work responsively and inclusively, in ways that ensure that tamariki are at the heart of decisions, and where the diversity and uniqueness of each tamariki is valued and celebrated,
• demonstrate a commitment to a collaborative working style, focused on ongoing growth to support positive outcomes for tamariki,
• be a strategic thinker, adaptable and responsive to change.
